Educação agrícola: influência de estudo experimental com Moringa oleifera (Lam.) na alimentação de frangos de corte no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de discentes de Curso Técnico Integrado em Agropecuária

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of field pedagogical practices on the teaching-learning process of students of the Integrated Technical Course in Agriculture at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Minas Gerais (IFMG), Campus São João Evangelista (SJE) , having as its main theme the realization of an experimental study with Moringa oleifera (Lam.) in the feeding of broilers, with the use of moringa as a substitute for traditional ingredients in poultry feed. Qualitative methods were used to assess students' participation in the research, such as observation and semi-structured interviews during data collection. Quantitative methods were also used to support the specific analyzes contained in an exclusive chapter that deals with the experiment with Moringa oleifera. Among the results obtained, it was possible, from the discussions and findings, to verify that experimentation is an important pedagogical tool for improving learning in secondary/technical education. Regarding the participation of students, it is possible to affirm the relevance of elements of their daily lives in carrying out practical and research activities, such as experiments, and that contextualized allow the exchange of knowledge, favoring the development of learning. By bringing their reality to the school environment, these students better understand the importance of articulating the phenomenon observed with the theory learned in the classroom. And even though the experiment took place at an atypical moment, in the midst of the new coronavirus pandemic, its importance was confirmed precisely because, even taking place in an adverse situation, it made it possible for students to accompany the experiment in person, promoting motivation and placing them those in direct contact with the routine of scientific production and its purposes. Among the conclusions, it is possible to affirm that the experiments carried out with the involvement of students are potential allies of both teaching for the teacher and learning for students, motivating and arousing interest to advance in the search for scientific knowledge. Finally, given the difficulties encountered in the construction of the experiment and research, due to sanitary limitations, it was not possible to state that all the findings are conclusive. However, it is reiterated that several of the observations are supported by the theoretical framework presented in the literature review, demonstrating the assertiveness and correctness of the instruments and methodological paths used to carry out this work.
