Abstract: The development of fungi in countries located in tropical regions is made possible by the psychometric conditions of ambient air, so it is important to give special attention to study the control of microorganisms both in the food as food processing and storage, the ingestion of products contaminated by fungi may be associated with the presence of mycotoxins, toxic substances that can damage the health of humans and animals and could be lethal depending on the amount ingested. Considering the great importance of controlling fungi in food, this study investigated, in vitro and in locus, the antifungal effect of a product based on organic chemical compounds called Netrix. The test in vitro carried out in five species of Aspergillus, A. carbonarius, A. flavus, A. niger, A. ochraceus and A. parasiticus, through the method of plating surface in culture Medium Malt Extract Ágar, where we observed the inhibitory effect of the product on development of fungi and the test in locus by counting of colony forming units in samples collected from the inner surface of the prototype of a silo, before and after treatment with the product, through the method surface plating in culture medium Dichloran Rose Bengal Chloramphenicol Ágar. In both tests the plates were incubated at 25 ° C. The colonies detected before treatment, after application of the product were not found. Test results have shown the efficiency of the product, both in vitro and in locus.
