A relação entre as tiras do Armandinho e diferentes gêneros textuais: uma proposta pedagógica de ensino de leitura

Abstract

This dissertation is the result of a Profletras’ research (professional Master degree in Languages) which sought to investigate the difficulties that students of the third circle (years 6 and 7) of high school in the public education system in the city of Rio de Janeiro have to identify the intertextual relation between the textual genre strips (specifically, the strips of Armandinho, by Alexandre Beck) with other multimodal genres. The specific objectives assumed were: (a) to encourage students to understand the mixed language present in the strips as something important for their human, historical, social and cultural construction as determined by the BNCC; (b) to identify the characteristics presented in the strips and to relate their different components to understand the text; (c) to develop students' critical awareness so that they can express themselves in a better way, place themselves and share information in their social environment; (d) to expand students' world knowledge through the reading of different multimodal texts; (e) to encourage students to know and notice the effects of meaning in texts, identifying the established criticisms as well as the effects of the intertext; (f) to find explicit and implicit information to the text through inferences; (g) to read, to understand and to interpret the genre to be discussed, observing the characteristics that compose it and the environment in which they circulate. In order to achieve these objectives, we conducted a research inserted in the area of Textual Linguistics. In this way, we are guided by theories of Bakhtin (1997, Marcuschi (2005, 2008), Koch (2018), Dionísio (2008), Rojo (2012, 2015), Vergueiro (2018), Ramos (2017), among others, in addition to the official teaching documents- PCN (1998) and BNCC (2006). For this the methodology of didactic sequence of Dolz, Noverraz, and Schneuwly (2004) was used. At the beginning of the research, we applied some diagnostic activities to verify the hypothesis raised. As the research could not be applied due to the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) epidemic, the structure of the present research was built on the elaboration of a lesson plan based on Kaufman and Rodriguez (1995) proposal and also an activity notebook, keeping the objectives outlined initially. Finally, the importance of reading texts from different text genres and expanding students' world knowledge is highlighted.
