Implementação do Curso Técnico em Gestão do Agronegócio no Estado do Tocantins: análise da realidade do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia – Campus Palmas e implicações na formação discente

Abstract

This study it has for objective to analyze the Course Technician in Management of the Agrobusiness implementation process in the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Tocantins (IFTO) - Campus Palmas, with the purpose to understand as its pedagogical, curricular, structural and administrative characteristics they have intervened with the process of formation and professional profile of the pupils. The gotten results had indicated that the creation of the Course Technician Integrated to High School in Management of the Agrobusiness in the IFTO-Campus Palmas did not ocurred according to an specific demand, but were motivated to take care of to the interests of a group of professors and managers, in the context of the expansion of the federal institutions of professional education process. The research disclosed the lack of clarity about to the profile of the professional we desire to form; the desvinculation of the course in relation to the work market; the disrespect to the principle of education, research and extension indissociability in the professional formation; the absence of curricular integration to the areas of general formation and professional formation under the contextualized and interdisciplinar form guidance; the nonexistent conection between the practical and the theoretical part of the formation; and the inexistence of specific locals for the practical experimentation. One concludes that such factors contribute to make impracticable the absorption of the technician formed by this course for the work market.
