Promoção do desenvolvimento rural através da agregação de valor na produção de banana, uma atividade de ensino e de extensão na EAF/Iguatu - Ceará

Abstract

The present work had as purpose to use as a teaching activity and extension in the Agrotécnica of Iguatu-CE School the promotion of the rural development through the aggregation of value in banana's production. In that sense, it was produced with the students of the agr ibusiness qualification the didactic material that could be used for the training of the producers; they qualified the farmers with techniques of formulations for them to learn to join value to the banana's production; educational methods of conservation, processing and appropriate storage were proposed to the craft agribusiness and she had proceeded the orientation a production of foods insurance through the good manipulation practices for the production. T wo groups of 20 students were constituted, being the f irst of the Cour se of Agribusiness of the 2nd ser ies 4° period. And the second for students that had already studied the discipline in the beginning in the period previous of the 1° and 2° subsequent period, being this denominated group of group controls. For the extension activity they announced 17 people, of the community of Quixoá-CE that was identified as the appropriate to the proposal once it has expressive num ber of producing of banana of the area. It had proceeded the evaluations of the process of the students' learning inserted in that research activity while subjects being used of an evaluation instrument built starting from affirmatives regarding the concepts and necessary knowledge to under stand these stages, punctuated with a scale varying among I "disagree a lot" to the I "agree a lot", with center in I disagree, nor I agree", totaling seven points. That instrument was applied in three different stages, being the f irst representative application of the condition zero, without involvement with the activities of the project and the others in elapsing of the activities. The students were appraised also for the agr iculturalists that you/they participated in the course that they developed as activity of that work, through a questionnaire that indicated information related to the knowledge and safety of the same ones during the cour se. The processed product, sweet of banana, it was evaluated in relation to the parameters physiochemical, sensorial and microbiologic. In the evaluation of the learning it was verified that the appropriation of the knowledge felt gradual form, in the measure in that the students went being inserted in the context of the units meditated in the discipline, consolidating the knowledge was consolidated, and evaluating them in relationship or according to the group, it was ver ified that the used methodology contributes to a better under standing of the activities proposed in the project that was developed inside of the discipline, doing with that the student looked for to do the interdisciplinary. The ripening presented by the students in the extension activity shows it as an alternative methodology to work the contents of a discipline can contribute to the student's in a more pleasant and productive way learning, making him to feel an active agent of whole the process, attributing to him responsibilities and allowing that demonstrates the acquired knowledge in an organized way and supervise to understand the process of teaching learning better
