ANTRA: saberes, discursos e militância política trans na Internet nos anos 2000

Abstract

In the present dissertation, we analyze the construction of trans knowledge and discourses that are used to legitimize their specific political demands. The data are presented as a way to reinforce Antra's argument about the reality of transfemicide, since the dominant discourse does not recognize this violence and its specificity. We will observe the political context of the 2000s and its articulation with social movements, especially the trans movement, since this subject is relevant in all sources. We will also make an analysis about the emergence of the term femicide and how, after that, the category of transfemicide is constructed: concepts that were created with the aim of typifying a crime. Since ANTRA makes use of pages such as Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, in addition to its official website, methodologically we will rely on virtual ethnography to map these media and platforms of the NGO. In this sense, we intend to demonstrate how the dossiers seek to legitimize all the data that are collected on violence and death of transsexual individuals through trans concepts and knowledge.
