Egressos do curso técnico em Agropecuária na modalidade subsequente: relação do saber de famílias campesinas com o conhecimento científico

Abstract

The relationships between theory and practice permeate the concerns of different authors who seek, above all, to understand how these concepts intertwine or separate. Initially, it can be thought that they are antagonistic concepts, but a deeper analysis may reveal that they coexist in a dialectical relationship, and in most cases they are presented as complementary. In this perspective, the objective is to identify the perceptions of the graduates of the Technical Course in Agricultural and Livestock subsequent modality, about their own possibilities of applying scientific knowledge, obtained during the course, and of influencing the agricultural practices of families. To this end, we opted for a qualitative approach since it is concerned with the in-depth knowledge of a reality and understanding the social phenomena studied from the perspective of the subjects. It is inferred that theory and practice are continuously related in the daily life of graduates both in professional and personal life. Based on the knowledge obtained in the Agricultural Technician course, graduates were able to enter the job market and improve the lives of their families as they were able to share knowledge and exchange experiences that favor greater productivity in their activities. However, for the new, the theory is a fundamental subsidy since, due to the fact that they do not have previous empirical knowledge, they seek information that can determine better results. That said, the problems proposed for this research have been answered, since the theoretical knowledge obtained in the technical course in Agriculture is applied in the professional exercise of the graduates and in their day-to-day daily lives when in their speech it was ratified. although everything they have learned is used by them, even if not in its entirety, they serve to define them as professionals. Technical education favors a more efficient practice and the practice provides subsidies for the construction and improvement of a set of theoretical knowledge, as graduates are able to make use of innovations based on accumulated knowledge, experiencing doubts and uncertainties, but able to distinguish what should remain in practice.
