História do ensino de história da América. O olhar decolonial sobre a presença da América Latina em livros didáticos para o ensino médio

Abstract

Investigates the History of History teaching in search of the presences and absences of Latin American History in High School in Brazil from a decolonial perspective. This is a research about the History curriculum and schoolbooks for high school in the 20th and 21st centuries. The objective is to identify how much and in which way Latin American History is approached in History teaching, specifically in High School. It was observed the maintenance of the absence of Latin American History in the analyzed books. The research concluded with reflections about the importance of thinking about history teaching based on the silenced experiences in the global south in dialogue with Paulo Freire's liberating education. The result of the reflections of this work is presented through material dedicated to teachers with five proposals of activities to be developed in history classes, aligned with the BNCC document
