O paradigma do desenvolvimento rural sustentável na prática educativa do IF Goiano – Campus Ceres

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate how the IF Goiano-Campus Ceres has been using education in favor of sustainable rural development, analyzing whether the education offered is in line with the guidelines and concepts stated in the official documents of the IF´s, as well as analyzing agroecology as a guiding basis for pedagogical practices in this institution, in view of the direct importance of training professionals in agrarian sciences in the consolidation of the sustainable development paradigm, based on the values of food sovereignty and agroecology. The research approach was qualitative, It based on an exploratory-descriptive study, where the procedures for its realization were: bibliographic research, document analysis, interviews, conversation and observation. The instruments had sought to collect information that would make it possible to verify the objectives of the research, raising information on the agroecological training of agricultural science courses, on their responsibility for sustainable regional development, and on the difficulties and challenges in applying the new rural development paradigm in their practices. pedagogical. The collected results allowed us to realize that, despite some individual efforts by teachers and students, the agricultural training offered at the Ceres Campus remains aligned with the logic of modern agriculture, this being the guiding model of most of the pedagogical practices developed there, becoming the ideal of sustainability and agroecology restricted to legal documents
