Construção de um trilho de ar com o uso do arduino: uma proposta para o ensino de função afim e quadrática

Abstract

The present work proposes the construction of a low cost air track designed to developed with the use of the arduino microcontroller which can be a pedagogical tool to assist the study of related and quadratic functions. This research was developed in a school in the west of the city of Rio de Janeiro where two ninth grade classes participated in the research. In all this work had 6 times of 50 minutes in which The students were able to interact with the pedago-gical resource elaborated in this work. Were five different experiments were proposed, three of which were of uniform rectilinear motion and two of uniformly varied rectilinear motion. Students underwent a pretest and a post-test with the objective of qualitatively verifying the improvement in learning that the Air rail can offer. Finally, the students took a motivational test in which The aim was to understand how much the air rail contributes to the motivation of the student body. learning mathematics and in a more specific way the contents of related function and drastic. Analyzing the results, we found that 77% of the students observed liked perform experiments on the air track and that 82% of these students agree that activities that relate theory and application help them understand math.
