Implantação de um modelo de gestão por resultados em uma empresa de transporte ferroviário

Abstract

The strategic implementation work developed in this study had as a concern to use theoretical references on the theme Management by Objectives, to support the creation of a Management Model by Results customized for the company and that meets the expectations of stakeholders, incorporating practices present in the culture from the company. To that end, it was also necessary to address the topic Implementation of the Strategy to identify the main challenges and barriers present in a work like this. The research had a qualitative character, since it was concerned with the deepening of the understanding of every process by a social group. Its nature is applied, because it aimed to generate knowledge for practical application, directed to the solution of specific problems that, in the case, was the construction of a model of unfolding and achievement of the strategic objectives supported in a set of theoretical orientations for its implementation. With the development of the project it was possible to experience the barriers of strategy implementation and to use robust theoretical frameworks to propose solutions and techniques that would mitigate the resistance imposed by such barriers. The team was able to accumulate theoretical and practical knowledge that made it more capable of implementing strategies and not just formulating them. This was clearly seen in the results of the first improvement cycle and will be confirmed in the next. This important step taken by the team was fundamental to the main purpose of Results Management that is, in fact, to achieve the expected results, and not only to draw theoretical plans to reach them.
