Inserção dos Institutos Federais e o desenvolvimento local: um estudo de caso em Laranjal do Jarí – AP

Abstract

This dissertation examines the importance of insertion Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amapá, Campus Laranjal do Jari, using the methodology presented in the Project Study for the insertion of the Federal Institutes in Local Development. In this perspective, the following problem was formulated: “How the insertion of the Federal Institute of the Amapá will contribute for the development of the city of Laranjal do Jari?”. For in such a way, the documents, laws and decrees related to the subject, bibliographical survey relative to the regional characterization had been carried through consultations, collected informations concerning the participation of the population in audience and considered the results of the interviews carried with opinion leaders of the city. Results showed an indication of technical courses related to the extraction of forest products, such as the Brazil nut. Another indication with respect to technical courses to directed the environment, with the objective to contribute to the reversal of the main environmental problem of the city, the river pollution. Actions are recommended to the head of the Federal Institute of Amapá, on the Campus Laranjal do Jari, as the development of environmental projects by IFAP, during the training of students and the anticipation of the Technical Course in Forest and High Course in Environmental Management offered by IFAP, which had request by the segments investigated
