utilização do método de projeto em experimento de avaliação de cultivares de milho doce para agroindústria na região de Morrinhos, GO

Abstract

The objective of this work was to evaluate the efficiency of the learning by the use of the Project Methodology. It was chosen a group with 21 resident students (camped at UNED-Morrinhos-GO) and their actings were compared to another group of 21 students semi-residents that usually participated of the classes in the traditional methodology habitually practiced at the school. All the students are the second semester of the Technical Course in Agriculture are from different areas and age group. The thematic for the development of the research was the evaluation of cultivars of sweet corn for the agroindustry in the area of Morrinhos. The project was developed in the CEFET-Urutaí / UNED-Morrinhos-GO. The student group that developed the Project Methodology participated in the implantation, conduction and harvest of the experiment. The students' knowledge of the research was evaluated with the application of questionaires before and after the execution of the methodologies. According to the test of KRUSKAL-WALLIS, 5% of probability, the hypothesis of equality between the two teaching methods was rejected because there was significant difference in favor of the Project Methodology. It was observed that the averages, after the application of the research, was respectively 6,8 and 5,9 to the students of the Project Methodology and the traditional. The experimental part of the field work consisted of the evaluation of 10 cultivars of sweet corn evaluated valued in 5 levels (60, 120, 180, 240 and 300 kg ha-1 of N) in side dress. The system adopted was non tillage and direct planting on the straw. The experimental design was randomized blocks with 4 replications. In the plots were sadded aleatoriyzed the N levels and in the sub-plots, the cultivars. The experimental plot consisted of 2 lines of 3 meters spaced of 0,90m, with 5 plants per meter. The N application was parceled in two, 15 and 45 days after the emergency. The appraised characters were: ear length of corn, depth of grains, medium weight of ears, weight of total green ears, weight of useful ears, weight of grains, height of plants and height of ears. Significant effect was verified by the test SCOTT-KNOTT in the N levels of the following characters: weigh of useful ears and height of plants. Concerning the cultivars there were significant effect in all characters.
