A construção do conhecimento através da qualidade do mel comercializado no vale do Médio Araguaia

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Federal Institute of Education Science and Technology of Tocantins, Campus Paraíso do Tocantins, with 36 students, 21 high school, and 11 belonged to the 1st year of Agribusiness and 10 to the 1st Year of the Environment, and 15 students of the 3rd module of the Professional Technical Course in Agribusiness in academic year 2010. We tried to obtain contributions for the processing of honey, with reference to the process of teaching and learning the discipline of applied processing animal products. The idea for the study was due to the current reality of agribusiness bee for which the State of Tocantins is going and therefore the potential inclusion of professionals trained by IFTO - Campus Paraiso, in the production chain of honey. Developed literature with theoretical study, which address the themes: knowledge production as social, historical context of education in Brazil, teaching and learning, learning evaluation, agribusiness, beekeeping, beekeeping relationship with the environment, production chain honey in Tocantins. For the evaluation of learning methods applied to the individual's attitude, for which there is the appropriation of knowledge according to the level of agreement or disagreement when subjects are submitted to certain information. The methodology allowed students to build skills necessary for processing of honey, with a view to creating spaces for discussion full of intense interaction between the different areas of knowledge. Students learn better and expressed satisfaction when they felt part of the learning process. The investigation stems from the knowledge test. We conclude that the act of teaching and learning always involves a much more comprehensive understanding of the restricted space of the teacher in the classroom or the activities undertaken by students.
