A percepção da legislação ambiental brasileira entre produtores rurais e alunos do CEFET Rio Pomba - MG: considerações sobre a intervenção educacional como elemento de divulgação e conscientização

Abstract

The current research was characterized by the search in detecting the students perception at Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica-CEFET (Federal Center of Technological Education) in Rio Pomba-MG and rural producers of the region and the effective performance of governmental organs, NGO and this Institution of Teaching, in order to promote the popularization, explanation and awareness of the regional population, in front of this legislation. In this way, the procedures adopted to accomplish the rising and data interpretation that allowed to verify that, in the region, the performance of the governmental organs, NGO and CEFET RIO POMBA - MG has been practically unreal regarding popularization and explanation works of the environmental legislation. It was allowed to know that the erroneous initial idea that made to believe that the unawareness caused a rejection feeling in front of the obligations and imposed by it, therefore it was demonstrated that the larger the legislation knowledge, the larger the acceptance and understanding levels about the importance of the environmental issue. CEFET RIO POMBA - MG is the main teaching institution of the region, for that reason it has an important role to perform in the formation of environmental responsible professionals and in the strength of the environmental awareness of the local community, so it must be an element of popularization of the minimum environmental duties and the rights of each citizen.
