Estágio curricular supervisionado: a contribuição para a formação profissional do técnico agrícola no Instituto Federal de Minas Gerais - Campus de Bambuí

Abstract

This research took place at Minas Gerais Education, Science and Technology Federal Institute Bambuí Campus, and aimed at identifying the contribution of supervised curricular traineeship for the agricultural technician formation. The conditions of the supervised curricular traineeship program were analyzed from its conception inside an educational context and facing the economical, social and cultural reality of the center-west region of Minas Gerais State. The comprehensive profile of the research did not intend to overstrain the elements of the reviews which were done on the investigated themes. It consisted on a qualitative exploratory social research in which was applied the action-research methodology that used some quantitative aspects for presentation of the answers found on the questionnaires with objective characters. The investigation was developed in two parts. The first moment tried to rescue, organize and interpret the bibliographical material as well as documents related to the evolution of education on humanity, professional education and agricultural teaching in Brazil history, the high school and professional teaching and learning process, its history and the supervised curricular traineeship legislation. For field research, the center lines for data analysis and its goals were defined from the students and companies perceptions, involving 38 students who were finishing the Agricultural Technical Course before and after taking the training program, and the companies that offered the training. The theoretical investigation and the field researches noticed a consonance for the necessity of a better application of concepts and investigated procedures. The tools which were used allowed us to have a concrete analysis of the supervised curricular traineeship of students from the Agricultural Technical Course.
