Viver coletivamente? O coliving como nova forma de moradia no Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

This research results from the attempt to understand how a new way of collective living named coliving, has been expanding itself over Rio de Janeiro city. Through the ascension and expansion of the fresh sharing economy, co living has been elaborated in the middle class in the last decades and getting new adepts between youngs and adults in the most expensives areas of the city. Regarding that, what we try to comprehend is if co-living shows itself as a new form of collective living, which adheres to sustainable ideas, or just introduces a fancy transformation of shared housing for the maintenance of the middle class’ status.
