Comitê Guandu: usos múltiplos e gestão participativa na bacia hidrográfica do Rio Guandu/Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

The present study deals with the analysis of the institutional composition of the Plenary of the Guandu River Basin Committee, in the State of Rio de Janeiro, its members, geographical origin and the segment they represent, interests and strategies of action. Based on the premise of the concepts of participatory management of water resources, hydrographic basin and hydrology, through an approach based on social participation, where the general objective of this study is to analyze the institutional composition of the Guandu River Basin Plenary, verifying the participatory process proposed by Federal Law No. 9433 / 1997 and other norms related to the management of water resources. If this social participation is effective and influences Guandu River Basin Committee decision making, observing the conflicts and perspectives inherent in this arena. In methodological terms, this research involved the collection of bibliographic data, documentary analysis and information about institutions, libraries and institutional collections related to water resources management. With the results obtained, it will be possible to contribute to the expansion of this discussion, which involves complex issues, allowing reflection on social participation in the process of participatory management of water resources.
