dc.description.resumoObservações foram feitas acerca do ciclo de Davainea proglottina (Davaine, 1860) com o principal objetivo de se determinar um possível hospedeiro intermediário para este parasito no Brasil. Para isso foram testadas cinco espécies de moluscos: Bradybaena similaris Fèrussac, 1821, Bulimulus tenuissimus Orbigny, 1835, Leptinaria unilamellata Orbigny, 1835, Subulina octona Brugière, 1789 e Deroceras sp. Rafinesque, 1820. Nestas infec- ções foram utilizadas proglótides grávidas deste cestóide, obtidas de galinhas naturalmente infectadas. Cisticercóides foram encontrados somente em Deroceras sp., 13 dias após a infecção, sendo evidenciados em cortes histológicos, na parede do tubo digestivo e na cavidade geral destes moluscos. Alguns testes histoquímicos foram utilizados como auxí- lio na evidenciação e caracterização destes cisticercóidespor
dc.description.abstractExperimental research was conduct to clarify the possible role played by species of molluscs from Southeastern Brazil in the life cycle of Davainea proglottina (Davaine, 1860). Five species Bradybaena similaris Fèrussac, 1821, Bulimulus tenuissimus Orbigny, 1835, Subulina octona Brugière, 1789 and Deroceras sp. Rafinesque, 1820 were used. Gravid proglotids obtained from naturally infected chickens were given to molluscs. Cysticercoids were found in tissue section only in Deroceras sp. 13 days post infection in the walls of digestive tube and in the body cavity of the slugs. Some histochemical tests were used to help in evidentiation and identification of these cysticercoidseng
