Análise crítica da Educação Ambiental na Reserva Biológica do Tinguá/RJ: iniciativas, ações, desafios e potencialidades

Abstract

Abstract The use of Protected Areas (PA) for the promotion of environmental education (EE) is one of the pillars of creation, implementation and management of these territories. Think Environmental Education in loco means, above all, enable democratic management. Based on these assertions, the research presents seeks to analyze the promotion of environmental education in Biological Reserve Tinguá (Rebio Tinguá) by the unit in partnership with other institutions, including the various institutions that make up its advisory board. It has a theoretical basis the critical approach and methodology used by the application of semi-structured questionnaires administered to board members, the technicians Rebio and management of UC; documentary analysis with records of EE shares in PA. The research is presented in quantitative and qualitative field, and uses for the systematization and analysis of the data analysis Textual Discourse, in order to understand how environmental education is crafted in this protected area located in the State of Greater Rio de Janeiro. By launching the look on these spaces, geography has much to contribute to the clinical look to analyze local and regional dynamics to which the PA are inserted. Research shows that EE promoted by Rebio reaches, for the most part, the public school in the city of Nova Iguaçu, lacking wider dissemination to other municipalities with which it operates. The partnership with the entities that make up the management board is presented as a proposal for decentralization of EE shares in Rebio Tinguá, as these counselors are social actors of the other territories to which the PA is inserted. Despite being discussed in the council, EE is in incipient state with some specific actions, requiring greater communication and partnerships among the institutions that compose it as well as closer ties between education departments and the environment of the municipalities to which Rebio the Tinguá is inserted.
