O Componente Curricular Educação Física no Ensino Médio Integrado da Escola Agrotécnica Federal de Santa Inês/BA

Abstract

This work aimed to examine the teaching- learning process of Physical Education curricular component of, Agrotecnical Federal School of Santa Inês – Bahia ( Escola Agrotécnica Federal de Santa Inês-BA).The objectives and contents of teaching practice from the teaching plan for 2009, the school pedagogical purpose and the statements of a teacher who was interviewed were taken as a study basis. 51 questionnaires were administered to students in the 3rd series of integrated technical courses in Animal Science (zootechny) and Agriculture in 2009. It was also sought to diagnose the importance given by students to the physical education curriculum component. The central question that guided this study was: what is the importance given to physical education in integrated curriculum of the Federal Agrotécnical School of Santa Ines / BA? This paper presents an analysis on physical education in agricultural education, enhancing teaching-learning process as a whole, based on the study of the curriculum as a whole, affective and social aspects of body culture, human and ethical values showed in this curriculum component and its contribution to the human and technical student preparation. The research includes a specific literature review and analysis relevant to the Agrotechnical School of Santa Ines / BA identification area, as an educational unit: curriculum; concept of curriculum, formal, the curriculum in technical education integrated, curriculum guidelines of EAFSI / BA; brief history of technical education in Brazil; context of technical education integrated into school, training teachers and school integrated, analysis of the contents of EF, as a component of the curriculum, the theoretical point of view, PCNEM of Physical Education and plans and education programs teaching unit. In the analysis and data interpretation we can see the manifestations in the sense of the physical education curriculum is an important component for entire students’ education , which also leads us to believe that physical education at school space investigated has contextualized contents with the work world of EAFSI technical courses. The methodology of this work is based on the theories and practices of qualitative research in social sciences and humanities, where the procedures of descriptive study conform to various social and cultural aspects of the social group, in this case EAFSI / BA (IF -Bahiano).
