Escola Municipal Terra de Educar: do projeto inicial à atualidade: descaminhos e possibilidades

Abstract

This dissertation work aims to investigate the processes that led, over the years, the Municipal School of Earth Education, based in Paracambi-RJ to keep out of their constitution potentially destined for agricultural education, with a view to contributing to the rethink their strategies and to propose appropriate to contemporary reality. Note that the challenges for educational institutions are complex and intense as the formative task in this context assumes an increasingly important from the perspective of a dimension that goes against the market logic of the globalized world. The discussion permeates the methodologies and practices of agricultural and environmental education, emphasizing the quality of life as a member of citizenship itself, breaking the mold of an overly biologized of environmental issues, preservation of biological-strand which has been hegemonic and restrictive practices decontextualized. The challenge is to contribute to the development of the teaching policy, aimed at adaptation to environmental and agricultural issues, a reflection of the institution's role in the rural community, and propose strategies to promote effective action to rescue the gene of the school: agricultural and environmental education.
