Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the pedagogical efficiency of the Educational Unit of Production of goats at the Dom Agostinho Ikas High and Technical School, in the Technical Course of Agriculture, which is based on the model coming from the Farming-School System that is still adopted by the schools that offer the Technical Course of Agriculture. Therefore, a comparative research has been done between a school that is developing the process of implementing its EUPs and another school that already adopts the system since many year ago. Through the observation and questionnaires about the subjects of the course’s summary at those two institutions, it became possible to ascertain whether the Educational Unit of Production newly implemented by the Dom Agostinho Ikas School is fulfilling its role as a facilitator of the contents studied in agricultural technical courses. The results obtained from the teaching practices that implement this system in the educational process of the members of the school units will serve for the Dom Agostinho Ikas School evaluate its EUPs, as well as for others educational institutions take them as basis to implement its Educational Unit of Production in the future.
